About Me
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with a specialist practice that provides counselling for women. I’m qualified, kind and easy to talk to, I’m always working to connect with you quickly.
I haven’t always done this, before I re-trained to provide counselling for women, I worked in the fast-paced, highly strung, results driven world of media. I’ve experienced the pleasures and the pains of being glued to the Blackberry, gunning for promotion and trying to have a relationship/a life/some sleep at the same time. I know what it’s like to be a woman who strives for a successful career with enough time to enjoy a happy, vibrant personal life.
I have a BSc in Psychology from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and I trained in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London. The course is accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have had the benefit of extensive experience with a wide range of issues while working within two different NHS settings and specialist charities working with different community groups.
Ongoing personal and professional development is really important to me, keeping me on my toes and on top of the latest research findings. I am a member of the British Associate for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere closely to their ethical framework for good practice.
